ಮಾವಿನಕಾಯಿ ಗೊಜ್ಜು | Raw Mango Curry | Mavinakayi Gojju | Quick Side dish | Gojju Recipe
Ingredients:
(1 cup = 180 ml)
- Raw Mango (chopped) - 2.5 cups
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds / Methi / Menthya - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chillies (broken) - 2
- Curry leaves
- Jaggery (crushed) - 1 cup
- Rasam Powder - 2 tsp
- Water - 2.5 cups
- Salt - as per taste

Preparation:
- Peel and chop the raw mango. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and methi.
- Mustard seeds splutters and methi turns golden brown.
- Add broken red chilles and curry leaves. Saute.
- Add chopped raw mangoes and saute for 2 mins.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Add 2 cups water and cook till the mangoes soften.
- Once the mangoes soften, add rasam powder and crushed jaggery (add jaggery as per desired taste). Mix well.
- Cook for 10 mins till the Curry thickens.
- Add 1/2 cup water and adjust the consistency. Gojju / Curry should be of thick consistency.
- Cook for 2 mins more. Turn off the stove.
- Gojju / Curry thickens after it cools down.
- Mavinakayi Gojju / Raw Mango Curry is ready to be enjoyed with Rice / Chapathi / Dosa / Rotti.
- You can refrigerate and use it upto a month.
