Preparation:

  1. Cut the paneer into 12 slices. Chop capsicum, onion and tomatoes into big pieces. Keep aside.
  2. Marination paste: In a mixing bowl, add curd, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, chat masala, ginger garlic paste, kasuri methi, gram flour, lemon juice and salt. Mix all the ingredients and make a thick paste.
  3. Add paneer pieces and chopped vegetables to the marination paste.
  4. Gently mix all together and coat them with marination paste. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  5. Insert the marinated onion, capsicum, tomato and paneer pieces in a skewer stick. Insert rest of the pieces in the same order.
  6. Set the oven to grill mode (or tandoori mode). Insert the skewer in the slot provided inside oven or directly place skewers on baking tray. Grill for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Take out the skewer from the oven and directly grill on the stove in a medium flame. Rotate the skewer and slightly roast them to get a smoky flavour.
  8. Transfer grilled paneer tikka and vegetables from the skewer to a plate.
  9. Enjoy the flavourful paneer tikka with mint dahi/curd chutney.

Note:

  • Here I have used steel skewers provided with the oven. Bamboo skewers can also be used by placing them on baking tray.
