Ingredients:
(Measurement 1cup - 180 ml)
Preparation:
- Add warm milk, sugar, yeast in a bowl and mix well. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Add maida, 1 tbsp oil, salt and yeast mixture to a mixing bowl, mix well. If required add milk gradually in small quantities to make a sticky dough.
- Now take the dough on a flat surface. Add a little quantity of flour and oil. Knead for 10 minutes till the dough becomes soft and does not stick to hands.
- Proofing: Tuck the dough and apply oil on it. Keep it in a bowl greased with oil. Cover the bowl with a plate and keep aside for 1 hour 30 mins proofing.
- Once proofing is done, knead the dough again and divide into equal portions. Make small dough balls.
- Chop the dark chocolate into tiny pieces.
- Now take a dough ball and flatten the dough slightly on your palm. Place some tiny chocolate pieces in the center of flattened dough.
- Fold and cover it with all sides (similar to Parata / Holige) and make a ball without cracks.
- Place it on a greased baking tray. Repeat the same for the remaining dough.
- Keep the baking tray inside switched Off oven for 30 mins second time proofing.
- Once proofing is done, brush the dough balls with milk .
- Preheat the oven in convection mode at 180°C.
- Keep the baking tray inside the oven and bake at 180°c for 20 minutes.
- Take out the baking tray from oven. Apply butter on choco buns, cover with wet cloth and leave for 10-15 minutes.
