Aloo Gobi Sabji || Aloo Gobhi ki Sabji || ಆಲುಗೆಡ್ಡೆ ಹೂಕೋಸು ಪಲ್ಯ

Aloo gobi sabji

Ingredients:

  • Potato / Aloo (peeled & chopped) - 2
  • Cauliflower/ Gobi (Thoroughly cleaned florets) - 1 whole
  • Oil - 7 tbsp
  • Onion (medium) - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin / Jeera powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Aamchur / Dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

Preparation:

  1. Heat 5 tbsp oil in a kadai.
  2. Add thoroughly cleaned Cauliflower florets and chopped potatoes. Saute till they becomes golden brown. Take out and keep aside.
  3. Add 2 tbsp oil and jeera in the kadai. Saute well.
  4. Add freshly grated ginger and garlic. Saute well.
  5. Add chopped onion and saute till it becomes translucent.
  6. Add chopped tomato and saute till it becomes soft.
  7. Now add chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, aamchur powder, garam masala powder and turmeric powder. Saute till the masala is cooked well.
  8. Add the fried cauliflower florets and potatoes to the cooked masala. Mix well.
  9. Add kasuri methi and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  10. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
  11. Open the lid and mix gently.
  12. Transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy Aloo Gobi Sabji with Chapathi / Phulka / Poori.
