Protein dose

Preparation:

  1. Add all the pulses and lentils in a large bowl or vessel. Rinse them 2 - 3 times with water and soak in sufficient water. Cover and soak overnight.
  2. After soaking overnight, drain the water completely and transfer the soaked pulses and lentils to a mixer jar / grinder.
  3. Add ginger, dry red chillies, salt and 1 cup of water. Grind and make a smooth batter.
  4. Transfer the batter to a vessel and add 1 cup of water. The prepared batter should be of thick consistency just enough to pour and not runny. If the batter is too thick then add small quantity of water to adjust the consistency.
  5. Smear the tawa with oil and heat the tawa. Pour a ladle full of batter on the center of tawa, spread it in a circular motion from center. Add little oil over and around dose.
  6. Cook in medium - high flame till the bottom of dose turns golden brown. Take out the dose by removing from the edges. Flip the dose and allow the other side to cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Flip it again and fold in the middle.
  8. Serve the hot Protein dose with coconut chutney. (You can increase the flavour of the dose with a dollop of butter on the top)  Enjoyy!!!

Note:

  • You can add finely chopped onion and coriander leaves to the batter, mix well before making dosa.
